DID SOME MORE ON THE JAPANESE LEG SLEEVE

Sveinung has to be one of my favorite customers. Big stuff, he sits like a champ everytime, and I can basically do whatever I want on the design; with of course some ideas from him.

This time we took 2 days in a row! Started with the upper part, the thigh, the geisha face and hanya. After some hours his skin was really sore, so we continued with the lower part the next day.



With this speed, we might get it done in a couple of months... but big things like this takes time!!!
I would love to do some more japanese/oriental. I really love the designs, the flow, and how it works with the body.
Just so beautiful and classic. Never goes out of style.




We found out to make a cricket on his lower part. Uts gonna be colored green and brown... I always wanted to make one.. so I loved his idea!



And some more news:
I am going to New Orleans in the end of October.
The Voodoo covention will be at the Halloween weekend; 29-31th of October. And I will stay there for 2 weeks.

Made a fun fun fun portrait today; Frankenstein in a frame. Awesome!
A little scary to make a portrait of something you have on your hand.. but it turned out really nice. Wish I had a better picture though...

STOCKHOLM SYNDROM

I took a trip to Stockholm to visit Emil and check out his studio.
I must say... I love that town...


I did "The Beyond" mark on Emil. I have four of them, you know.. seven gateways to hell;)

HAIL THE LEAF

Done a lot of cover ups lately.. this was one of the most fun Ive done.
She had a black ttribal band all around her ankle, and I basically just covered it all up with autumn leaves.
Its amazing how the SKIN CANDY ink can cover black that good..
too bad I never took a before picture...

WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE

Did a nice tattoo on Marion today.
She wanted some traditional rose painting from Norway.
Lucky for me, I was just at my cabin up in Telemark, a small place up in the mountains where this is a tradition. I actually visited a museum up there just to do some research.. haha.. dedicated huh!
In the old days, they decorated wood doors, walls and plates with these images in lots of different colors. We decided to make a little modern twist with only blue in. This is the result:)

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HERE BEFORE

I just had the most beautiful moment of my life.
Just got up in the mountains after visiting the Stavanger convention this weekend.
I went for a little walk to one of my favorite places by the water...
I sat down watching the sun go down and suddenly a blue butterfly came and sat down on my finger. I wished that moment could last forever.
I really dont wanna go home yet. Too much stress in the big city. Too much assholes and rockstars.
I really hope things get better there soon, because my work, my whole life is in Oslo...

I will get back to the city early tomorrow. Then I will draw all day and I have a couple of things to fix, then back on work on Thursday!
So I am sorry; I am a little slow with sketches at the moment, because there is just so much stuff to do.
