Max Morbid from BREED and Hellish Outcast had an appointment today....

Straight from the airport and in to the studio to get his ribs done;

 

The whole piece is inspired by the work of Paul Romano, and is taken from two albums of the band Hate Eternal...

He has also done the art for Trivium, Mastodon and a whole lotta cool bands out there, and is amazing!

I think we started planning this one 2 years ago when I was very fresh... and I was stoked to finally start on it!! Thank you so much for the trust!

SUNDAY SESSIONS

I love working sundays! So quiet and relaxing... and I don't waste the day of just being home hangover or tired. haha..
So I started on Wiennas thigh... a big piece. She has been walking around with bloodlines there for a year now, waiting for the tattoo artist to come back and finish it, but now she asked me to finish it, and since it was only lines I said yes. A really fun picture... But I will wait to post it, because it doesn't look finished at all..

She is a hair dresser, and she has been thinkin' about doing something that shows that for a long time, and since I didn't have any customers today, we found out to just do it!!!

It's gonna be fun to put in some nice colors in here!!! Hopefully in two weeks;)

SOME UPDATES FROM OSLO ROCK CITY

So... drawing at 5 in the morning... not always the smartest thing to do... but sometimes I wake up and get really creative... This was the sketch for a Koi sleeve I had to do...

And this is the result from the first session... Next time we will shade in the background.. and then after that.. colors in the kois and flowers. So much fun!

DAY 3 AT KARMA

Made a cool one on Marius. He is born as a Gemini.. so I made two twins.. haha... oh.. and one of them is tattooed with the Gemini sign on her arm.

He sat like a hero the whole session!

WORKING AT KARMA TATTOO THIS WEEK

KARMA TATTOO, HAUGESUND, NORWAY



This week I will work at Karma Tattoo in Haugesund.
Haugesund is where I grew up. A small town on the west coast of Norway.
I have to say... I think this is Norways most sexy studio.. haha... all black metal...
So relaxing listening to Windir while working...
The reason why I came here was because I allready have a lot of customers here, and since I allready knew the people there well, they let me work there. So much fun!




Yesterday I continued on a sleeve on my fellow dreadhead, Reidar.
We did a cover up with a koi some months ago in Oslo, but since its easier for him to travel to Haugesund, I did an Oni warrior this time. Still one more session to go.
Cant wait to put some color in there!



Today I made an awesome one on Hallvard, I allready did a lot on his arm.. Today we made an old school microphone and some roses.. fun stuff!
Hope to do more of stuff like this in the future!
He will be back on Friday to do the other side of the arm. He sat like a champ!

Tomorrow I will do a kick ass piece on a leg.
Updated will come!

It was made on his denim west with just pens... and I copied on to his knee.. so much fun!

DID SOME MORE ON THE JAPANESE LEG SLEEVE

Sveinung has to be one of my favorite customers. Big stuff, he sits like a champ everytime, and I can basically do whatever I want on the design; with of course some ideas from him.

This time we took 2 days in a row! Started with the upper part, the thigh, the geisha face and hanya. After some hours his skin was really sore, so we continued with the lower part the next day.



With this speed, we might get it done in a couple of months... but big things like this takes time!!!
I would love to do some more japanese/oriental. I really love the designs, the flow, and how it works with the body.
Just so beautiful and classic. Never goes out of style.




We found out to make a cricket on his lower part. Uts gonna be colored green and brown... I always wanted to make one.. so I loved his idea!



And some more news:
I am going to New Orleans in the end of October.
The Voodoo covention will be at the Halloween weekend; 29-31th of October. And I will stay there for 2 weeks.

Made a fun fun fun portrait today; Frankenstein in a frame. Awesome!
A little scary to make a portrait of something you have on your hand.. but it turned out really nice. Wish I had a better picture though...

STOCKHOLM SYNDROM

I took a trip to Stockholm to visit Emil and check out his studio.
I must say... I love that town...


I did "The Beyond" mark on Emil. I have four of them, you know.. seven gateways to hell;)

HAIL THE LEAF

Done a lot of cover ups lately.. this was one of the most fun Ive done.
She had a black ttribal band all around her ankle, and I basically just covered it all up with autumn leaves.
Its amazing how the SKIN CANDY ink can cover black that good..
too bad I never took a before picture...

WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE

Did a nice tattoo on Marion today.
She wanted some traditional rose painting from Norway.
Lucky for me, I was just at my cabin up in Telemark, a small place up in the mountains where this is a tradition. I actually visited a museum up there just to do some research.. haha.. dedicated huh!
In the old days, they decorated wood doors, walls and plates with these images in lots of different colors. We decided to make a little modern twist with only blue in. This is the result:)

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HERE BEFORE

I just had the most beautiful moment of my life.
Just got up in the mountains after visiting the Stavanger convention this weekend.
I went for a little walk to one of my favorite places by the water...
I sat down watching the sun go down and suddenly a blue butterfly came and sat down on my finger. I wished that moment could last forever.
I really dont wanna go home yet. Too much stress in the big city. Too much assholes and rockstars.
I really hope things get better there soon, because my work, my whole life is in Oslo...

I will get back to the city early tomorrow. Then I will draw all day and I have a couple of things to fix, then back on work on Thursday!
So I am sorry; I am a little slow with sketches at the moment, because there is just so much stuff to do.
